FONCY BREAK £300,000 BARRIER

The end of season Open Day proved to be another massive success as far as FONCY was concerned. A huge turnout at the auction saw almost £5,200 raised, while the old training kit at the FONCY stand raised almost £2,500.

The fans were certainly out in force and many made a beeline for the FONCY stand in what could only be described as a stampede, led by the infamous Canary Fairy. It was a busy afternoon with every single piece of training kit sold.

Onto the auction and in front of a huge crowd Ken Ewing was in fine voice with fans eager to bid for some of the superb lots going under the hammer. Needless to say anything relating to Darren Huckerby or Dion Dublin was in demand, with Dion's boots fetching £500.

A full list of auctions results can be found here.

FONCY would like to thank all those people who helped out John and Richard on the day, these included Sharon, Darrynn, Hannah, Lewis, Ivan, Judy, Mike, Dave, Debbie, Myra, Karen and not forgetting Mel and Lisa who went round selling raffle tickets for the "Blood Shirt". A special thanks as usual to Ken Ewing who kept things moving and with over forty items to sell we only finished a few minutes behind schedule.

Of course the main people we have to thank are the fans and because of your support FONCY has broken through the £300,000 barrier this weekend.
