Open Day - 04.05.09

It is fair to say that most if not all fans were still recovering with the hangover from Charlton 24 hours earlier when the openday got underway at Carrow Road on bank holiday monday. The openday is a big day for FONCY with the auction and the old kit stand and of course we were concerned that the event might turn out to be a total washout. In the event our fairs were unfounded and as usual the fans came to support us in great numbers and while it was not our best ever year we enjoyed a good day.

Once again our thanks go out to Ken Ewing who it has to be said worked hard to get the most for each item and as usual he brought a touch of humor to the event and quite rightly received a warm reception after the final lot was sold.

Korey Smith received a tremdous reception when he was enticed onto the stage to hold up his signed shirt as did Bryan Gunn when he did the same with his signed training top.

Our thanks also to kitman Manny Fowler who came up with an assortment or old training kit that was highly sought after on the stall when the doors opened at 1:30pm.

Our thanks to all the fans and of course all who helped out on the day, it is certainly a long tiring day for all those who helped out but at the same time a most enjoyable day.
