Batt And Smith Star In Reserve Win Over Posh
NORWICH CITY RESERVES 2 PETERBOROUGH UNITED RESERVES 0
Academy players Damian Batt and Adam Smith both played a prominent roll in Wednesday afternoon's Reserve Team victory over Peterborough United at Colney.
It was a long throw from Batt that saw Iwan Roberts open the scoring for Keith Webb's side, the City striker getting a head to the ball before going in off a Posh defender.
City's second goal, coming just four minutes from the break, was started by Batt, who's sweeping cross-field pass picked out Smith. The first-year trainee wasted little time in finding Roberts in the area, who laid the ball into the path of Ian Henderson, and although his first shot was blocked the Reserves' leading scorer made no mistake from the rebound.
