Heiden Euro-Cup 2006 - 08.01.06

A Norwich Under-13 squad will put their weekend at the Euro-Cup in the German town of Heiden firmly in the "to be learnt from" category.

Some promising wins in this indoor tournament with sides from around Europe were interspersed with some disappointing defeats as the youngsters took time to adapt to the indoor game.

The final placing of 18th from 24 teams was certainly lower than the Canaries had been hoping for.

After the competition City played fellow competitors Rushden and Diamonds in a 40 minute nine-a-side friendly and finished the weekend on a positive note with a 4-0 win.
