Young Hornets No Match For On Form Canaries
NORWICH CITY U 17's 3 WATFORD U 17's 1
After holding Arsenal at home last Saturday City's Under-17 side went one better at Colney on Thursday when they scored a comfortable victory over Watford. The 3-1 scoreline could have been even more in City's favour with the woodwork denying them on at least three occasions.
Josh Clarke opened the scoring after a great run by Danny Crow who danced his way past three defenders before setting up Clarke who fired home from the edge of the area.
The second goal came from Crow who lifted the ball over Lee Walker in the visitors' goal after some excellent play from Lee Blackburn.
Watford did manage to pull a goal back late in the game but the result was put beyond all doubt late in injury time when Blackburn marked a superb performance with a stunning goal that went in off the post.
City line-up: Herbert, Gusterson, Eagle [Fisk], Halliday, Willis, Smith, Gil, Blackburn, Clarke, Crow [Howlett], Howell.
Subs not used: Payne, J.Osborne.
