U18 Match Report - Bouligny Tournament 2007 18/19.08.07

UNDER-18's FOURTH IN FRANCE

A Norwich City Under-18s Squad, augmented by young professionals Michael Spillane, Bally Smart and Steve Arnold, struggled to find their rhythm in last weekend's Bouligny International tournament in France. That they still finished fourth of eight teams proves that they showed their ability in patches, but too often they struggled to come to terms with the tournament format and continental refereeing.

The group games finished 0-1 against FC Metz, 1-1 (Bally Smart) against Hvidovre (Denmark) and 1-0 (Renton) against Auxerre. The third place play-off match was lost 1-2 (Ross Kelly) against Nancy-Lorraine.

A more detailed report with many photos will be available on this website in the next few days.
