Second Win in Milton Keynes

MILTON KEYNES DONS UNDER-18's 2 NORWICH CITY UNDER-18's 4

David Williams saw his side record their second consecutive victory with a 4-2 win over MK Dons at Milton Keynes on Saturday.

Williams decided to give Danny Crow a place on the bench after the striker had played an important roll in the Reserve team win over Chelsea on Monday night. This allowed U16 strikers Seb Muddel and Chris Martin to join forces against the Dons.

It was not the best of conditions with a strong wind, and things were not helped by the condition of the playing surface.

Never the less it was City who mastered the conditions and took an early lead when Robert Eagle crossed for Seb Muddel to head home.

The Dons however were not prepared to take things lying down and wasted little time in drawing level.

Once again City pushed forward and Rossi Jarvis made a brave challenge on the keeper to head in City's second, but just as they had done earlier the Dons hit back drawing level for the second time just before the break.

After a see-saw first half, the Canaries took the game by the scruff of the neck after the interval. Substitute Adam Smith fired in a shot that the Dons keeper failed to hold, allowing Eagle to pounce on the rebound and fire the ball home. This now takes the winger's tally to a goal in each of the last 3 games.

City completed the scoring through Martin who picked up the ball on the edge of the area before turning to beat the keeper with a low drive into the bottom left hand corner.
