Unbeaten Run Ends

Fulham Under-18s 3 Norwich City Under-18s 0

The Canaries seven-game unbeaten run came to an abrupt end at Motspur Park on Saturday, when they were soundly beaten by Fulham.

Unfortunately Fulham banned all spectators from the game as their first team were in training for Sundays clash against West Ham and Roy Hodgson was concerned about security. There fore we are unable to bring you our usual comprehensive report.

One person who did get into Motspur Park was Fulham club photographer Martin Goldthorpe. We are very grateful to Martin for kindly providing the excellent photos from the match below.

With Ricky Martin stepping up to join Bryan Gunn for the first team against Barnsley it was Dean Rastrick who took the helm against Fulham with former City defender Simon Charlton looking after the U16s.

For the record City were a goal down at the break with The Cottages scoring a further two goals late in the game. Michael Uwezu (2) and Karim Laribi were the Fulham goalscorers.

City Line-Up: Rudd, Smith, Stephens, Dumic, Francomb, Omoregie [Brindley 65], Adeyemi, Lathrope, Clarke, Kelly [Reeves 75], Swaine [Davey 55].

Subs Not Used: Grieveson, Ball.

  • It was better news from the Under-16s after they ran out 4-1 winners at Fulham with goals from Tom Jex (2), Phil Roberts and Matthew Ball.
