After putting eleven past King's Lynn youth on Friday night it was Yarmouth Town Youth who were on the receiving end at Colney on Saturday as City's U18s knocked twelve past the young Bloaters. Ricky Martin's side needed just two minutes to open their account when Danny Kelly headed home a far post cross. Just five minutes later David Stephens made it two for the Canaries, and then with 16 minutes on the clock Luke Daley made it three, before trialist Ammo put the Canaries four goals to the good on 25 minutes. Less than 60 seconds later Tom Miller headed home City's fifth. The match was played in three 30-minute periods and when Town found themselves with an injured keeper for the second period, City's reserve keeper Declan Rudd stepped into the firing line, but he stood no chance on 40 minutes when a David Cooper shot was deflected past him. On 52 minutes trialist Massimo scored the first of three goals, the other two coming on 56 and 64 minutes before Town pulled a goal back through Mitchell Forbes on 64 minutes. By this time the two City keepers had changed sides, which left Steve Arnold to pick the ball out of the Town net three further times with goals coming from Ben Latimer (75), David Stephens (77) and Massimo scoring his fourth just four minutes from time. City Line-Up: Arnold (Rudd 60), Cooper, Reynolds (Richardson 60), Lathrope, Kelly, Habergham (Scanlon 67), Ammo, Stephens, Massimo, Miller, Daley (Latimer 67). Subs not used: Hunter. |
