City's Academy side recorded a 3-1 victory over Millwall at Colney on Saturday. It was the final game before they flew out to Denmark where they will spend 4 days at a training camp, taking in 2 games before they return home on Thursday. City found themselves 2-1 to the good at half time, thanks in no small way to Nicky Howell who produced an outstanding performance to net both goals. The first came on 13 minutes after some build up play involving Seb Muddel, before Howell finished the move. The second was a superb solo effort by Howell, who left 2 defenders in his wake before striking a shot into the far corner. |

Millwall scored something of a scrappy goal just before the break when the City defence really should have got the ball away. Five minutes into the second half and Andrew Cave-Brown scored the first goal of his Norwich career when he cut in from the right to beat the Young Lions keeper down to his left. City Line-Up: Herbert, Willis, Smith, Fisk, Halliday, Osborne, Howell, Howlett, Crow, Muddel, Eagle. Subs: Blackburn, Cave-Brown. Subs Not Used: Bexfield, Martin. |

While the Under-18's were recording their win the Under-16's had to settle for the draw against Millwall. Patrick Bexfield opened the scoring for Gary Butcher's team before the visitors drew level from the penalty spot in first half stoppage time. On the hour mark Chris Martin put City back in the driving seat but they could not hold onto their lead with Millwall hitting back seven minutes before time. |
