Under the guidance of David Williams, City's Under-18 Academy side got their pre-season campaign underway at Colney today with a 4-0 victory over Northampton Town. Two goals in either half saw The Canaries record a comfortable victory with two unfamiliar faces in the line-up. Danish Under-16 international Per Weihrauch was joined in the squad by fellow countryman Asmat El Ouargui, both players being here for three weeks after Norwich had been recommended to them by former Canary favourite Steen Nedergaard. City took 26 minutes before they opened their account when Danny Crow was on hand to fire in the loose ball after the Town keeper could only parry a dangerous cross. Less than sixty seconds later and City had doubled their lead when Crow turned provider, setting up Robert Eagle who fired in from a tight angle. |
