Just like the first team, City's Academy side maintain their 100% home record after their third win of the season, the latest victory coming against Leicester City on Saturday. The Canaries were quickly into their stride with a goal after just 90 seconds. Damian Batt saw his long throw headed across the Foxes goalmouth where Robert Eagle was on hand to volley the ball into the far corner. On 13 minutes City extended their lead after some good build up play down the right flank involving defenders David Tyrie and David Chick. It was then Josh Clarke who crossed to the far post where Lee Blackburn was on hand to volley the ball home, the goal being his fifth for the Academy and the Reserves this season. |

Leicester had little offer and it needed a smart save from Conrad Logan to deny Eagle after he was put clear by Olly Willis. When the Foxes did move into attack Joe Lewis was dominant in his area. Leicester, to their credit, looked a better outfit after the break, but again they never looked a threat in front of goal. Meanwhile at the other end Willis went close with a couple of efforts, the second a shot to the near post that was well saved by Logan. Adam Smith saw a shot produce the save of the game from Logan, while Blackburn pulled a shot over the bar from a Danny Crow cross. |

It was left to substitute Andrew Fisk to complete the scoring some two minutes before full time. From a free-kick the ball was worked out to Eagle down the left flank, who cut inside and picked out Fisk who slotted the ball home for his first goal for the under 19's.
