Whilst it would have been nice to finish the year with a win in the league, Saturday's defeat at the hands of Millwall will be remembered for the appearance of striker Josh Clarke as a substitute on 75 minutes. It has been a remarkable comeback for Josh, who many fans will remember has undergone three cruciate ligament operations over the past 30 months, and his appearance at the weekend was just reward for all the hard work that he has put in to get himself back to full fitness. Josh I am sure, will feel he might have got his name on the scoresheet, but that hardly matters, what is important now for Josh is that he continues to push forward over the rest of the season. |

During the early stages of his injuries Josh was treated by Henna Horth who is now working in a similar physio role for Spurs, but there was no way Henna was going to miss out on Josh making his first appearance as a scholar and there was no one with a bigger smile on their face than Henna when Josh came on to a warm round of applause from the Colney regulars. It was also pleasing to see former Educational Officer Ken Adey watching the game, who like Henna worked long and hard with Josh while he was out injured. While Josh is now too old for F.A. Youth Cup, there are still plenty of Academy and Reserve Team games for him to get his teeth into. We feel sure that you will join us in wishing Josh all the very best for the remainder of the season. |
