Lee Blackburn is FONCY Player Of The Season

Amongst all the celebrations at the Preston home game on May 1st, FONCY were given the opportunity to present Lee Blackburn with their Academy Player of the Season Trophy.

Lee, an all-action midfielder, has established himself this year as the powerhouse in the Under-19 side as well as breaking into the Reserve team where he made nine starts.

He is always keen to get into the box, scoring a notable ten goals in the Academy side to make him second highest scorer, as well as one strike for the Reserves.

Everyone at FONCY would like to congratulate Lee on a great season and wish him all the best for the coming year.

FONCY Chairman John Landamore, with his grandson Lewis Chapman, was joined on the pitch by webmaster Paul Standley for the presentation.

Half-time at the Preston game also saw Danny Crow receive the Club's own Academy Player of the Year award.

Following the early season injury to Josh Clarke, Danny has often been on his own up front for the young Canaries but nevertheless bagged 12 goals from his 26 games, making him top scorer.

Danny has also started to establish himself at Reserve level with five goals from seven starts and ten substitute appearances.
