FONCY Launch 2004 Spring Raffle

Once again FONCY have pulled out all the stops in announcing the prizes for their 2004 Spring Raffle.

Chairman John Landamore was on hand at The Colney training ground to announce that once again Fatso's Speakeasy will be sponsors of the two top prizes, which will be meals at their Prince Of Wales diner for the lucky winner and a guest with a top Norwich City player.

In the past FONCY have been fortunate that this prize has been supported by the likes of Darren Eadie, Craig Bellamy, Robert Green, and for the past two years by Iwan Roberts and Malky Mackay. Needless to say both Iwan and Malky are hard acts to follow, but John hopes that he has (with a little help from a few people) captured Canary fans' attention when he announced that the two players this season will be Darren Huckerby and Marc Edworthy.

"We are over the moon that Darren and Marc have agreed to be involved with the top two prizes in this year's raffle", said John. "Most of the players at the club know what FONCY is all about. They know that we, along with our many supporters, are working hard to raise funds for The Academy. Because Darren and Marc only joined the club this season they will probably not know too much about FONCY, nevertheless they both decided to put their names forward and we are, as you can imagine, delighted".

Of course, the FONCY Spring Raffle has become well known for bringing you prizes that money cannot buy and apart from meals with Darren and Marc there are 9 more great prizes.

One of the most popular in recent years has been to have your photo taken with the squad. This takes place on the day of the clubs official team photo, with the lucky winner sitting next to Nigel Worthington for a one-off photo. See 2003 Raffle Report.

Another popular prize is the VIP day out for two at a selected first team game. This includes a look behind the scenes before the game, followed by a pre match meal before you are shown to your seats to view the game.

Listed below are this year's great prizes.

1. A meal for 2 at Fatso's Speakeasy with Darren Huckerby.
2. A meal for 2 at Fatso's Speakeasy with Marc Edworthy.
3. A VIP day out for 2 at a selected first team game.
4. Have your photo taken with the 2004/2005 squad on the pitch at Carrow Road.
5. Two seats in the Directors Box for a selected first team game.
6. A new away shirt.
7. Two away day tickets complete with travel.
8. A matchday with Radio Norfolk's Roy Waller.
9. A Canary Account complete with Ł100.
10. Two matchday tickets complete with players lounge tickets.
11. A VIP day out at The Academy.

Over the next few days all season ticket holders and members will get Ł10 worth of raffle tickets through the post, just follow the simple instructions and return them with the correct money to the Freepost address provided.

The draw will be made by Nigel Worthington on Sunday May 2nd.
