City are all set to add another international to their squad when Under-16 schoolboy Michael Spillane makes his debut for the Republic Of Ireland Under-17's in Dublin on this coming Thursday, 18th February. FONCY can reveal that Michael, who attended a training camp over the Christmas period, is due to be in the starting line when The Republic take on Slovenia at Home Farm in Dublin on Thursday. It is one of two games that The Republic will be playing against Slovenia this week, the other taking place on Tuesday with Michael being in the line-up for Thursday. It has certainly been a good start to 2005 for the Cambridge midfield player, first learning that he has secured a scholarship with The Canaries and now earning a chance to make a name for himself on the international scene. Everyone at FONCY would like to wish Michael all the best when he makes his international debut later this week. |
