The curtain was officially brought down on yet another Academy season when FONCY were on hand to present the Des Holl Memorial Plaque at Colney.
The award, in memory of Des who was one of FONCY's first ever supporters, is presented to the Academy team of the year as chosen by the Academy staff. This year’s award went to the youngest age group at the Academy, the Under-9s, coached by Greg Crane and Colin Watts.
The chairman was on hand with committee members Richard Bland and Phillip Baldwin to make the presentation with the lads all receiving a FONCY lapel badge and to the great delight of the parents a car sticker.
Everyone now takes a well deserved break until June 27th when the scholars return after their summer break.
FONCY will also take a break but of course if there are any Academy matters arising we will pass them onto you, in the meantime have a great summer.
