17.08.04 - JACK CONSTANCE MEMORIAL CUP

City's Under-18 side ran out comfortable 4-0 winners in this year's Jack Constance Memorial Cup match at Beccles on Monday night.

Before the game was halted five minutes early due to a thunderstorm, goals from Seb Muddel, John Bell and Luke Daly together with an own-goal had already ensured that the Academy would retain the cup in this now traditional fixture.

City's Academy side completed their four-day training camp in Denmark this evening with a 2-0 victory over AGF.

This win came after they had recorded a similar victory over Aalborg on Tuesday. Seb Muddel scored both goals against Aalborg, but it was the turn of wingers Robert Eagle and Nicky Howell to get on the scoresheet today.
Youth Development Officer Colin Watts, who travelled with the team along with David Williams and Physio Henna Horth, insisted that everyone benefited from the trip and the team had worked hard both in training and during the 2 games.

12.08.04 - OPEN DAY AND AUCTION A SUCCESS

FONCY again had successful Open Day at Carrow Road last sunday.

Sales of old training kit from Colney and souvenirs together with the now traditional auction raised a total amount approaching £5000 for FONCY funds.

03.08.04 - WATFORD FESTIVAL

Most of the younger age groups at the Norwich Academy were involved in the Watford International Festival of Football over the weekend, with FONCY again pleased to be able to sponsor travel costs to the event.

Results varied across the groups but as ever the experience will have done all the teams a power of good with opposition from other English club Academies and abroad.

A mention goes to the Under-14's who won their goup against Coventry, Hvidovre and Brondby before going on to win a play-off game against another Danish side, Naesby.

Further details from the festival website.
