The Academy played a big part in yesterday's Reserve team victory away at Chelsea where Ryan Jarvis grabbed both goals in a 2-0 win.

Five professionals were in the starting line-up, with three of them (Jarvis, Shackell and Henderson) Academy products. With the first team game at Spurs the day before, the six other players to start the game were all Academy scholars and the bench was also made up of Academy youngsters.

By all accounts it was a good display all-round, but special mention goes to first-year scholar Andrew Cave-Brown who came off the bench to make his reserve team debut in the second-half.

Jarvis started the game on the bench but was on hand in the second-half to score England's second. The rising star stepped up to dispatch a 25-yard free-kick over the wall and beyond the keeper with great finesse.

The result and Jarvis' goal certainly sets the scene well for the next Engaland U19 friendly at Carrow Road on Ocotber 6th against the Czech Republic.
