31.10.04 - NORWICH CITY UNDER-16'S 0 CHELSEA UNDER-16'S 4 After losing 3-0 to Spurs in midweek in a rearranged fixture, Gary Butcher saw his side suffer another heavy defeat on Saturday this time against Chelsea. In fairness Butcher was without the services of Michael Spillane, Chris Martin and Seb Muddel who all stepped up to the Under-18's. Added to that Luke Daley, who has been called into the England Under-16 squad, only played for the first 30 minutes. 28.10.04 - CHELSEA MATCH PREVIEW This Saturday sees the Academy Under-18 side face Chelsea at Colney (11am kick-off). Chelsea beat Crystal Palace 1-0 last weekend and the updated league table shows them in a mid-table position. Meanwhile the young Canaries will be looking to return to winning ways after last week's promising performance at West Ham. Last season City played Chelsea only once, going down to a 2-0 defeat in March in London. The Under-16's also take on their Blues counterparts at Colney on Saturday. |

The Hammers won 2-0 at Fulham last weekend and the updated league table shows them in a mid-table position. City will be looking to improve on last season's 2-1 defeat when a Danny Crow goal was not enough to bring a point back from East London. The Under-16's will this weekend be staying at home to take on their West Ham counterparts at Colney. |

14.10.04 - MILLWALL MATCH PREVIEW This Saturday sees the Academy Under-18 and Under-16 squads take on Millwall at Colney (Kick-off 12.00pm). Millwall have had a good start to the season and sit in second place in the current league table following an impressive 6-2 victory against Crystal Palace last weekend. However the young Canaries will look to their 3-1 victory in a pre-season friendly to prove that a good result against the Lions is more than possible at the weekend. |

10.10.04 - HENDO DOES EVERYTHING BUT SCORE FOR ENGLAND

Ian Henderson had a 67 minute run out for the England Under-20 side today as they beat The Netherlands 1-0 at Huddersfield's Galpharm Stadium. It was certainly an all-action appearance from "Hendo". On 14 minutes Henderson was brought down in the box to win England a penalty, however penalty-taker Smyth shot wide. Later in the first-half Henderson hit the woodwork with a header from a Wayne Routledge cross and went on to see another good chance saved. The young Norwich striker was substituted in the second-half, soon after Burnley's Richard Chaplow had hit the only goal of the game. |
