31.10.04 - NORWICH CITY UNDER-16'S 0 CHELSEA UNDER-16'S 4 After losing 3-0 to Spurs in midweek in a rearranged fixture, Gary Butcher saw his side suffer another heavy defeat on Saturday this time against Chelsea. In fairness Butcher was without the services of Michael Spillane, Chris Martin and Seb Muddel who all stepped up to the Under-18's. Added to that Luke Daley, who has been called into the England Under-16 squad, only played for the first 30 minutes. 28.10.04 - CHELSEA MATCH PREVIEW This Saturday sees the Academy Under-18 side face Chelsea at Colney (11am kick-off). Chelsea beat Crystal Palace 1-0 last weekend and the updated league table shows them in a mid-table position. Meanwhile the young Canaries will be looking to return to winning ways after last week's promising performance at West Ham. Last season City played Chelsea only once, going down to a 2-0 defeat in March in London. The Under-16's also take on their Blues counterparts at Colney on Saturday.

26.10.04 - HAMMERS SPOIL JOE'S DAY City's Under-18 Academy side went down 3-2 at West Ham on Saturday. City's goals came from Chris Martin and Rossi Jarvis. 23.10.04 - NORWICH CITY UNDER-16'S 1 WEST HAM UNITED UNDER-16'S 2 Gary Butcher saw his young side slip to only their second defeat of the season with West Ham taking the win at Colney on Saturday. All the goals came in the second half with James Patterson on target for the Canaries. City Line-Up: Lemay [P.Smith], Willis, Howell, Clausen, Clapham [Chadwick], Bussens [Smart], Bell, Bexfield [Forshaw], Patterson [West], Mills, Daley.

20.10.04 - WEST HAM MATCH PREVIEW This Saturday sees the Academy Under-18 side travel to Romford to take on West Ham United (11am kick-off). The Hammers won 2-0 at Fulham last weekend and the updated league table shows them in a mid-table position. City will be looking to improve on last season's 2-1 defeat when a Danny Crow goal was not enough to bring a point back from East London. The Under-16's will this weekend be staying at home to take on their West Ham counterparts at Colney.

17.10.04 - LIONS ROAR AT COLNEY City's Under-18 Academy side slid to their third successive home defeat at Colney yesterday. Visitors Millwall went away with a 1-0 win through a penalty. 17.10.04 - NORWICH CITY UNDER-16'S 2 MILLWALL UNDER-16'S 1 Gary Butcher saw his side get back to their winning ways after their first defeat of the season at Fulham last week. However it was second half substitute Luke Daley who came to their rescue with two goals. 14.10.04 - MILLWALL MATCH PREVIEW This Saturday sees the Academy Under-18 and Under-16 squads take on Millwall at Colney (Kick-off 12.00pm). Millwall have had a good start to the season and sit in second place in the current league table following an impressive 6-2 victory against Crystal Palace last weekend. However the young Canaries will look to their 3-1 victory in a pre-season friendly to prove that a good result against the Lions is more than possible at the weekend.

10.10.04 - HENDO DOES EVERYTHING BUT SCORE FOR ENGLAND

Ian Henderson had a 67 minute run out for the England Under-20 side today as they beat The Netherlands 1-0 at Huddersfield's Galpharm Stadium. It was certainly an all-action appearance from "Hendo". On 14 minutes Henderson was brought down in the box to win England a penalty, however penalty-taker Smyth shot wide. Later in the first-half Henderson hit the woodwork with a header from a Wayne Routledge cross and went on to see another good chance saved. The young Norwich striker was substituted in the second-half, soon after Burnley's Richard Chaplow had hit the only goal of the game.

10.10.04 - CITY DRAW A BLANK WITH COTTAGERS City's Under-18 Academy side drew 0-0 with their Fulham counterparts in London on Saturday. Although happy to take the point, Academy technical director David Williams felt his side could have won if they had been more aggressive. 10.10.04 - FULHAM UNDER-16'S 4 NORWICH CITY UNDER-16'S 1 City Under-16's surrendered their unbeaten record today when they went down 4-1 at Fulham after John Bell had given them a first-half lead. 06.10.04 - FULHAM MATCH PREVIEW This Saturday sees the Academy Under-18 and Under-16 squads travel down to London to take on Fulham at their New Malden training ground (Kick-off 12.00pm). David Williams' Under-18 side will be looking to return to winning ways against a team that have yet to secure a point this season as the latest league table shows. Last season's match saw City come back to draw 3-3 after being 3-0 down against The Cottagers with Adam Smith (pictured left) providing a hat-trick of assists.

04.10.04 - NORWICH CITY UNDER-16'S 2 ARSENAL UNDER-16'S 1 Andrew Howell and Michael Spillane were the scorers for the Under-16's on Saturday as the Canary schoolboys did better than their Under-18 colleagues and beat Arsenal 2-1.

Danny Crow showed why he recently signed a professional contract when he put the Canaries ahead, but the Gunners pulled back two goals to win an enthralling match.
