The Under-18's will be looking to improve their points total before Christmas and as the league table shows they could do with a win to follow on from their point against Ipswich ten days ago. 17.11.04 - IPSWICH MATCH PREVIEW This Saturday sees the Academy Under-18 side take on local neighbours Ipswich at Colney in a 11am kick-off. Although Dave Williams will rightly pay little attention to the league table, the Canaries could do with a morale-boosting win against their rivals who lost 1-0 at Charlton last week. The league table would then make for better reading. The Canaries will certainly be looking for a better result than in the corresponding match last season when Ipswich went away from Colney as 3-1 winners. |

16.11.04 - ACADEMY SCHOOLBOYS IN RESERVE TEAM DEBUT Academy schoolboys Chris Martin and Michael Spillane last night both made their Reserve team debuts as Keith Webb struggled to get a team together for the game at Charlton. Although another heavy defeat was the result at the Valley, both lads will have been pleased to be nominated for this difficult task. Both have made several appearances at Under-18 level this season. One reason that Webb was struggling is that Ryan Jarvis is currently with the England Under-19 squad who are preparing for Thursday's friendly against France at Barnsley FC. |

10.11.04 - SOUTHAMPTON MATCH PREVIEW This Saturday sees the Academy Under-18 side travel down to Southampton for an 11am kick-off. The match against the run-away league leaders is the Canaries toughest test in what has so far proved to be a tough season for the youngsters. Southampton meanwhile, having won the Academy League play-offs last year, have not dropped a point this season as the updated league table shows. The Canaries can take hope from the fact that they are the last side to have beaten the Saints in the league, all of thirteen months ago, with Ryan Jarvis and Danny Crow scoring in a 2-1 win on the south coast. |
