09.08.06 - WELCOME DEAN

Everyone at FONCY would like to extend a very warm welcome to Dean Rastrick who joined The Academy on August 1st. to take up the position as assistant manager to Ricky Martin.

Dean, who hails from Woodbridge in Suffolk, held a similar position at Derby County who's training complex completed just 4 or 5 years ago is one of the most impressive in the country, although Dean was quick to point out that the facilities at Colney were every bit as good.

Dean's main role will be to oversee the schoolboy age groups from 9 to 16 and he was soon into his new role when we caught up with him at Colney helping Ian Thornton putting the Under-15/16's through their paces in the indoor arena.
