15.01.09 - RAY DUCKER All at FONCY were sad to hear of the passing of long time City fan Ray Ducker (Arrdee). A very popular Norfolk man, Ray was a supporter for over 50 years and in recent times has been known to many for his wonderful storytelling on the Pink Un message board and of course for starting the popular Free Bet Thread with City Fans from all over the world united to raise funds for the Academy - with £400 raised to date. A devoted husband, loving father and grandfather and such a good friend to so many, Arrdee will be sadly missed. |
| 10.01.09 - U17 FRIENDLY: MVV27 With the weather taking its toll on most of the games in Norfolk on Saturday due to the hardest frost of the winter, Norwich moved their game against Dutch side MVV27 into the indoor arena at Colney. While the game was played over 90 minutes the size of the pitch dictated that the game would be played as a 9-a-side match. 09.01.09 - BURNLEY OR EVERTON NEXT IN THE CUP Today's draw for the fifth round of the FA Youth Cup saw Norwich given an away tie at either Burnley or Everton. In the 2004/05 season Norwich travelled to Burnley in the Youth Cup for a third round, winning 2-1 after extra-time. Should Everton get through it will of course bring back memories of the 82/3 Youth Cup Final which Norwich won after a replay. Since then the Canaries have also faced the Toffees on two further occassions in the cup - winning 2-0 after a replay in 96/97 and losing at Carrow Road in 1999/00 season. The match between Burnley and Everton is scheduled for January 14th at Accrinton Stanley's ground. |
