After a long-standing association with the Norwich City Academy, Andrew Fisk took up the Club's offer of a scholarship at the start of last season. Having known the Colney set-up well for a number of years and played for the youth team whilst still at school, Andrew soon settled into life at Colney on a full-time basis. A tough tackling midfielder, Andrew was a regular in David Williams' youth team last season until injury interrupted his development. He did play15 games at under-18 level and also managed to step up to reserve team football at the end of last season and enjoyed four outings with Keith Webb's reserve team. The 2005-06 campaign has started in promising fashion for Andrew who figured in the first team's pre-season friendly at Dereham Town and was subsequently invited by Nigel Worthington on the Club's pre-season tour of Holland. Andrew has again been a regular with the youth team this season and is making that important step-up to reserve team football on a regular basis - having already made seven appearances at that level so far this season. "After missing large chunks of last season through injury, Andrew has started to repeat the form that made him excel as a schoolboy," was youth team manager David Williams' current assessment of Andrew's form. "The demands of full-time training often have an affect and Andrew suffered more than most. This season his combative style, together with intelligent passing have seen him turn in performances more in keeping with what we have expected. "The next challenge is repeating that level in the reserves which he is well capable of doing," added David. (Report from Peter Rogers, October 2005). Q+A with Andrew Fisk Q.
