Jamie joined The Academy at the start of the current campaign after a successful trial with the club at the end of last season when Jamie was involved in the game down at Millwall and certainly caught the eye with an assured performance on the right wing. An injury back in the autumn saw him sidelined for a number of weeks, hence he has only made relatively few starts for the Under-18's and just two appearances as a substitute for Keith Webb's Reserves (as of January 2006). David Williams believes that considering he has not come through an Academy system Jamie has done well in his first year at the club. "Jamie did well in that trial game at Millwall last year after he was recommended to us by scout Paul Taylor while he was playing for Cambridge City", said David. " He can do a job anywhere on the right side of the park but his best position is clearly down the right flank where he has the ability to deliver very good crosses." Doubtless Jamie will be looking to see plenty of action there during the rest of the 2005/06 campaign. Q+A With Jamie Eames 1. Which team did you support as a boy and who was your boyhood hero?
