Everyone at The Academy, indeed it is fair to say everyone at the football club, will be rooting for Josh when, later this season, he looks to return from injury. For Josh, the last three seasons have been one of frustration, as he suffered not one, not even two, but three cruciate ligament injuries. At the time of writing he is once again on the road to recovery and everyone is keeping their fingers crossed that round about Christmas time Josh will again be playing for The Canaries. It now seems some time ago when Josh joined The Academy and those of you who saw his first few games at Colney will remember him striking up a good relationship with fellow striker Danny Crow, with the pair of them giving visiting defenders plenty to think about. Shortly into his first season he suffered the first cruciate injury with the second and third both coming when he was on the verge of making his comeback. To his credit Josh has taken the knock backs and he is determined to get back to full fitness and pull on a City shirt once again. David Williams insists Josh is tenacious and that you cannot knock his desire to overcome the obstacles that have been put in front of him. "Josh has taken some serious knock backs but his determination to overcome them has shown what a strong character he is. Last season, with the help of Doug Livermore, Josh was invited to the Newcastle hotel when they played against Norwich for Josh to meet Alan Shearer, who himself suffered a similar injury to Josh. It was a great boost for him and I feel sure it will help him on his road to recovery to know a player of Shearer's class overcame a similar injury". Despite his injuries Josh has of course continued with his academic education and just last month he received his A-Level results which were, to say the least, quite impressive, including an 'A' in English Literature. Josh now wants to show everyone that he can achieve that same level on the pitch. Q+A With Josh Clarke 1. Which team did you support as a boy and who was your boyhood hero?
