Kris hails from North O'er the Border and was invited down to Norwich for a trial shortly before Christmas 2005, along with one or two other lads from Scotland. This came about through Academy youth scout Terry Harvey who spotted Kris playing for his local side Musselburgh Windsor. Academy Manager Ricky Martin said that Kris looked to fit the bill from the first time he trained at Norwich. "Kris came to Norwich prior to Christmas and he made his mark in that first training session ", said Ricky. "Although he has only been converted from a centre-back to a striker in the past couple of seasons, he has all the attributes required to become a centre forward. He has been down with us during half-term and he has worked well. I feel sure that David Williams is looking forward to working with him on a full time basis when he joins us in July". No doubt Kris is counting down the days to when he joins Norwich. Q+A with Kris Renton 1. Which team did you support as a boy and who was your boyhood hero? Manchester United and Roy Keene 2.
