Pre-season seems to have gone well for Lee who along with several of the other scholars played a part in the opening friendly at Dereham. This came after Lee trained with the pro's when the squad returned after their summer break.

Because of his size [over six foot] Lee has played a number of rolls when been asked to do so, however he is regarded as an out and out central midfielder, a position he played a number of times last season for Keith Webb, and doubtless he will be looking to continue in that same vein when the Reserves get their season underway shortly.

David Williams describes Lee as a positive player who has the attitude to overcome any setbacks that he might suffer.

"I know Lee will have been disappointed not to be included in the first team squad that went to Holland last month, however I also know that he will be positive enough to put that behind him and get on with the job in hand." said David. " He is a trustworthy and honest individual and that will stand him in good stead in life. The season ahead is indeed an important one for him and he needs to stamp his authority on the games that he plays in and that in turn will make people sit up and take notice."

Although Lee is now in his final year as a scholar you sometimes tend to forget just how many years some players have been involved with The Academy. Indeed even before Lee was involved in the squad that won the Milk Cup back in 2001 he had already been at Norwich for a year or two.
